Mary L Stanley's Obituary

Mary L Stanley 94, has made it home, departing this life on September 27, 2025, with family by her side. Mrs. Stanley was born on June 27, 1931, in Conway, Arkansas to Hershel and Emma Cole. At an early age she was proposed to by an eager young boy Buford Stanley, she was 9, he was 11. She married Mr. Stanley and relocated to Akron. That union took place in    December 1948, a marriage of 69 years. To this union 4 children were born. She was employed with Akron Tile, Summit County Children's Home and     retired from Chrysler in Twinsburg after 17 plus years of service.

Our last Matriarch was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, sister and aunt. She enjoyed traveling to churches she loved, visiting family out of state, cleaning, working in her yard and admiring the beautiful clouds, excited to see doves fly near and far, catalog shopping in all the magazines dressed from head to toe and most importantly doting on her grand and great-grandchildren. She loved all who crossed her path. Always loved giving whatever she could; food, clothing, few dollars, advice or simply the word of God.

Mrs. Stanley gave her life to Christ our Savior and was a true believer of the Primitive Baptist Church under the Doctrine of Election. Her conversations to many were talking about the Lord, even in her final days she would say "I'm going to be with the Lord and I'm happy, I'm just waiting on time."

She bared her cross, and her strength was remarkable. She stood on what she believed in, her FAITH. So, with love and gratitude, we celebrate the life of our beloved Matriarch, Mrs. Mary L Stanley. She was the heart of our family full of love, wisdom and grace. Her spirit will live on in all of us forever.

Preceded in death by her parents, Hershel and Emma Cole; husband, Buford Stanley; son, Gary Lamar Stanley; daughter, Kathryn Stanley; sisters, Flora, Gloria, and Cora; brothers, James and Cecil.

Mrs. Stanley leaves to cherish her loving memory, son; Ricky Stanley, daughter; Verdale Stanley Franklin, stepson; Ronald Rall, stepdaughter; Robin (Kim & family) Terry, grandchildren; Deon (Jackie), Roma, Karis, Dahlia(Dominique) ,Kamaris, Cabrina, and Michael; great grandchildren; DeWayne, Ava, Chloe', Christian, Karis, Deonte', Phoenix, Thomas and Xavier, great -great grandchildren; Shayla and Xaylen and a host of nieces, nephews and many loving relatives and friends. If we wrote a book on her life, it would be a best seller.
