Obituary

Mary Louise (Lucy) Barnes McKinser was born January 23, 1930 to the late Fuller Barnes and Mary Frances Robinson in Alexander City, AL. She was the first daughter and second oldest out of eight children.

She was united in holy matrimony to James McKinser in 1949 in Sylacauga, Alabama, and they later moved to Akron, Ohio. Even though no children were born to this union, she treated her nieces and nephews like her own.

Lucy worked at Sylacauga Hospital, Kistler Bakery and retired from American Tuxedo. She enjoyed playing cards, cooking, and eating collard greens. Lucy most enjoyed being with family and hosting gatherings at her Garfield Home.

She leaves to cherish her memories: sister, Martha (Porter) Moore and brother Clyde Stallworth of Akron, Ohio; Brother Robert (Angelene) Barnes of Birmingham, Alabama; Sister-in-law, Alice Faye Barnes and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her brothers: James Robinson, Charles Barnes, Charlie Barnes and Alvin Stallworth; brother-in-law, Porter Moore and sisters-in-law, Angelene Barnes and Elaine Barnes.
