Obituary

Marlan Kevin Andre Lige passed away on Tuesday July 21, 2015.  Marlan was born August 2, 1978 in Canton, Ohio to Donald Inman and Arlene Lige. He was previously employed by Snelling and Snelling.  Marlan was a family oriented man who loved his nieces and nephews to pieces, and always gave them positive encouraging advice to excel further in their lives.   He also displayed tremendous amount of love for the children of his friends, and the children sincerely loved him back.  The most endearing part of Marlan's character was his gracious, tender, understanding heart, as well as the unconditional love he showed others.  He had a big heart for those deserving of it, and was very supportive to his friends.  He was an avid sports fan, basketball and football the team didn't matter, as long as the team he was rooting for came in first.  He will be deeply and wholeheartedly missed by all who held him dear in their heart and lives.  The phone calls and texts to his sisters, nieces, and nephews, the brothers who spent time with him everyday, the corner store person who sold him his morning java, and the young children whose lives he played an impressionable part in.  Marlan was the head of our family and with his lost our foundation has cracked even more with the lost of our mother in 2006.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald Inman and Arlene Lige, and two sisters, Linda Jeter, and Kelley Harvey. He leaves to honor his loving memory brothers, Marcus Lige, Patrick Lowe, and William "Billy" Harvey, sisters Ke'la Lige, Donna Inman, Marsheila Inman, Angela Hogan, Taleika Hogan, Traci Edmondson, and a affectionate, loving cousin by blood, but was a sister to him in life Yolanda Lige.  Three nieces Chelle Inman, Essence Baldwin, and Marzinae Adkins, and nephews Jeffrey Lige, Chaze Lige, Chauncie Lige, and Alize' Stokes, and great nephew Avant Williams.Marlan had a special place in his heart for spoiling his great nieces, Dachelle Williams, Kassidy Powers, Kaniyah Bivins, Torri Lige, and Kennedy Lige. His family will always live with a hole in their heart by his sudden departure.  Marlan was a man's man and kept his friends very close to his heart. Relationships spanning over 15 to 20 years.  The men that had a honor of being in friendship with him were David, Von, Adrian, Glenn, Leelo, Ronnie, Pookie, Rome, Dorian, Jay, and Fattie.  These young men will forever feel the absence of Marlan's spirit in their lives.
