Marie Lightner Way was called home to the Lord on February 17, 2015 at the blessed age of 83.  She was born March 27, 1931 in Waynesburg, Ohio to the late Walter Sr. and Elizabeth Lightner. Preceded in death were sisters Sarah Lightner Henderson,     Virginia Lightner (Faulkner-Kelly), and brothers Walter Jr. and William Lightner. Left to cherish her memory is her husband Carl Way, two sons Marcus Miller Sr. of Akron, Ohio and Bradford (Belinda) Miller of Vallejo, California, also three step-children of Columbia, South Carolina.  Sisters Ruth (James) Cheek of Canton, Ohio, Charlotte (William) Hickman, Brother David (Cecelia) Lightner both of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Grandchildren Marcus Jr. (Crystal) Miller, Bradley (Saleha) Pinkney, Michael (Amanda) Miller, Melissa (Jeffrey) Howenstine, Yusan, Christian, Sheldon, Chad, Christine Miller; 8 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Marie worked at Arbors at Canton for 23 years, retiring in 1993. She was a    dedicated member of New Dimensions Educational Ministries, where she served as a greeter and honored as a church mother. Marie's grandchildren will always cherish the fond memories of going camping,    swimming and watching her prepare her famous grill-cheese sandwiches, and spectating all of their sporting events.
