Marie Francis Logan, affectionately known as "Polly" and "Grandma Boo" to family and friends, was a caring mother, granny, aunt, and friend. She left this world surrounded by loved ones on October 9, 2021 at Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital. Marie was the only child born on September 6, 1944 to Pearl Fields and Charles Logan. Marie was a lifetime resident of Akron, Ohio.
Marie graduated from Akron Central Hower High School. She enjoyed working at the University of Akron Dining Services for 33 years, leaving in 2020 due to an illness. Any one that knew Marie knew she was a big fan of her family. She loved to cook for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Every year for the holidays, everyone wanted a piece of her chocolate cake. Marie loved being around her children and going to ALL of her grandchildren's extracurricular activities. When she wasn't at the activities of her grandchildren, you could be for sure she was at home enjoying her favorite TV shows: Law & Order, Blue Bloods, Chicago P.D., Karate Movies and The Heat of the Night.
Marie was preceded in death by both of her parents, Mother Peal (James) Fields; father, Charles (Ida) Logan, Sr.; brothers, Walter Davis, Sr., James Fields, Jr., and Leonard Fields; sister, Melva Jordan; niece, Valerie Jordan; sister/cousin, Lucille Singfield; uncles, Robert Davis; brother/cousin, Robert Davis, Jr. and Eddie Lee Davis; best friend, Edna Greene; and special son, Antonio Turner.
