Marie Johnson was born January 19, 1936 to the late Sam  Howard and Ora Lee (Howard) Freeman in Autauga County,     Alabama. She departed this earthly life on Monday, July 11, 2016. Marie was a longtime resident of Canton, Ohio and worked as a skilled nurse for many years. She retired from Molly Stark Hospital in 1992. Marie enjoyed baking, sewing, and f   ishing, but most of all she enjoyed being in the midst of her family. Preceded in death by her parents; husband of 33 years   Bennie E. Johnson; brothers, Pearlie Howard, Jimmie Howard, and Willie Howard; sisters, Carrie Freeman, and Alberta Coachman; favorite uncle, Willie Gray. She leaves to cherish her memories her children; sons, Daniel Howard, Louie (Darlene) Johnson, Jonathan (Beatrice) Johnson all of Canton, Ohio, Bennie, Jr. (Lila "Ann") Johnson of Hinesville, Georgia; a  loving daughter, Bertha Howard of Canton, Ohio; sisters, Imogene Freeman of Montgomery, Alabama and Annie Holley of Cleveland, Ohio; brothers, Davis Howard of Wetumpka, Alabama, Alfonza (Faye) Freeman of Montgomery, Alabama; grandchildren, Tamara, Frank (Brandee), Lindsey, Keshia, Bennie III (Anna), Ashley, Joshua, and Jonathan. Marie was so blessed with seven great grandchildren as well as a host of cousins,  nieces and        nephews.
