Marchelle Mary Griffin, 64 passed away August 19, 2021. She was born December 10, 1956, in Canton, Ohio to the late Curley Griffin and Eleanor Scott- Griffin. Also preceded in death by sisters Veronica Massey and Peggie Austin, brother Preston Hale, godparents, Homer & Ora Mae Sherrell, nephew, Michael Massey, god brother Homer Sherrell, Jr.
Marchelle leaves to cherish her memory brothers Dennis Griffin of Canton and Melvin (Stephanie) Griffin of Toledo, sisters Wanda Griffin Tull of Canton and Brenda Calhoun of California. God sisters Leisha (Johnnie) Brack, Tracy (Don) Davidson and Brenda Swinea-Patterson. Nieces Marlene (Derrick) Brandon, Olympia (Nikko) Grant and LaVonda McLean, nephews Jerry Griffin, Charles Curtis, Eshon Griffin, Tivon Howard, Aaron Austin, Richard and Brian Massey. Great nieces Jada Hall(Marchelle's favorite twin look alike), Lalah Brandon, Marcia and Taylor Griffin, Tiffany (Stephon) Brown, Malia Grant, Azure & Catelynn Curtis. Great nephews DeRay Griffin, Charles Curtis Jr. and Malachi Grant, Great- great nephews Michael Roden, Darrell Carter, AzrielDeGraffenreid and Joshua Hall and Godson David Miller.
Close friends Mrs. Margaret Robinson, Mrs. Vivian Pender, Paulette Robinson, Uncle Bobby Graves, March Ferguson, Tron Rhoden, Ollie and Arthur Cutler, Lou Banks and all the staff at the Akron and Canton Rhoden Memorial Home.
Marchelle wrote an acknowledgement to thank Rhoden Memorial Funeral Home, The Dialysis Unit that provided her care. She would also like to thank the nurses at Altman Hospital and Akron General Hospital and her care manager Darlene Jett. She also stated that she would like to thank any and everyone that has assisted her and touched her in any way.
