Mamie Ellen Coppinger was born June 16, 1930 in Greenville, SC to the parents of Levi and Alberta Sayles. She moved to Akron, OH and the age of 90 she lived a full life. She retired from the Children's Services Board. She was loved by many in the North Akron Community.

She was proceeded in death by her son James "Slack" Coppinger (Redd), God-Daughter Andrea "Candy" Johnson, only Sister Earlene Lowe, and special niece    Kimberly Lowe.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters  Darlene (Douglas) Whatley, Patricia Gardner, LeBerta  Coppinger, and Earlene Carter, Goddaughter Sheila Spears 7 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren 8 great-great grandchildren.

Special nephew Robert "Bobby" Lowe, Special cousin, Carlisa Canty. Special Friends Loraine King, Lorenza Shuford, and Leon Gaitor and host of other relatives and friends.
