Malva Jill Ayesha (Alexander) Rashid, age 66, passed away February 12, 2022, after a long illness surrounded by her family. Malva graduated from South High School where she excelled in her academic studies and as a cheerleader. She later attended Ohio State University and graduated from Akron Business College. Malva is the daughter of the late Lenora M. Alexander and Harold J Alexander. Malva retired in October 2021 after working over 30 years as an Administrative Assistant at the Louis Stokes Medical Center (Veterans Affairs) in Cleveland. Prior to that she worked at The Board of Education under the guidance of the late Ann Gates. She was also a Records Clerk in the Health Department. She owned and operated her own Clothing Boutique many years ago and was an excellent seamstress and clothes designer. More recently, she was the Executive Manager of the band Blaque Ahys. Malva was known for her delicious potato salad and bean pies. She was proceeded in death by her mother and father, sisters, Crystal Alexander and Kim Jacobs.  She is survived by her son, Muhammad (Leslie) Rashid, grandchildren, Nadja, Aniya, Daiyan and great-granddaughter, Halo. Ex-husband and longtime friend, Fareed Rashid, sisters, Geraldine and Nichelle Alexander, brother, Wayne Alexander, special niece Shamiya Alexander and a host of many nieces and nephews.
