Maggie Lena Jones departed this world suddenly on May 6, 2017 at Akron General Medical Center surrounded by her family. Maggie was born December 13, 1938 in Akron, Ohio to the late John (Daddy Jack) and (Mom) Ruth Daniel. Maggie attended Akron Public Schools, and was a lifetime resident of Akron. Maggie made friends wherever she went with her giving spirit and love of grandchildren, and family. She loved to entertain and cook for both family and friends, reading books, and watching First 48. Maggie was preceded in death by her parents, son Robert Jones, grandson Kem Delaney, longtime love Curtis Williams, and sisters Gloria Daniel, Irma Bland, Suzanne "Suzie" Daniel-Alexander and Marjorie Powers. Maggie leaves to mourn her passing, her children that she dearly loved Yvette Jones, Hazel "Nadine" Jones, and Damion (Shawntaye) Jones along with 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, sister Jacqueline (Wilbur) Long all of Akron, Ohio. Special aunt Suzanne McKnight of Shaker Heights, special niece Ruby Bland and special friend Ruth Tate from Cincinnati, Ohio, brother-in-law Artis Williams, and a host of special nieces, nephews, and cousins' that she loved.
