Lula Ruth Addy, formerly of Canton, Ohio, departed this life on March 27, 2013 surrounded by her devoted daughter, Dorothy and devoted granddaughter, Marlo.  Ruth was born on February 27, 1927 in Georgia to Rufus Benjamin and Lula Houston.  Ruth gave her life to Christ at an early age and united with Union Baptist Church in 1987; serving on the Mother's Board.  Being an excellent cook, Ruth helped on the Kitchen Committee.  Ruth retired from J.T. Nist Nursing Home as Head Dietary Cook n 1997.  Ruth is preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Daniel Houston; a son, Michael E. Williams and grandson, Duane "Poncho" Addy.  She leaves to treasure her memories, brothers, James Houston of GA and Sylvester (Shirley) Houston of Massillon, OH; daughters, Evelyn Ballard-Hogan, Nellie Ruth Ballard-Coleman, Debra Ballard-Mitchell, Patricia Ballard-(Bud) Canady, and Min. Dorothy Williams-Young; son, Roy L. Williams, Jr.; 18 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren and 25 great, great grandchildren; honorary daughter, Barbara Stovall and honorary granddaughter, Nicole Davis.
