Lucy Ann McCalister was born on December 20, 1943 in Parkins, Arkansas, to the late James and Mary McCalister. She then moved to Akron, Ohio where she became a long time resident until her death on March 24, 2018. Lucy attended Garfield High School. She worked many years as a homemaker, caregiver and was self employed making beautiful floral arrangements. Lucy is preceded in death by her parents, James and Mary McCalister; son, Vernon McCalister; four sisters, Pecola McCalister, Willa Walker-Taylor, Lena Redwine and Ruby Mae Drummond; brothers, Reuben, Thomas and James McCalister. Lucy leaves to cherish her loving memory sons, Victor (Nazaree) Milan of Akron, Ohio, Vaughn (Melissa) McCalister of Burtonsville, Maryland, Vincente and Vernard McCalister of Akron, Ohio; brother, Earnest (Isabelle) McCalister of Akron,Ohio; grandchildren, Porschea and Jade Milan, Sierra Huffman; great-grandchildren, Kassidy Milan and Austin Hightower; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family.
