Louise (Ransom) Griggs was born in Sparta, Georgia, on August 13, 1932, as the oldest daughter of James Ransom Sr. and Rutha Mae Williams Ransom. At a young age, she was a devoted member of Brown Chapel AME Church. She married Marshall Griggs, and from this union, was born 2 children, Leon Griggs and Shirley Ann Griggs. She moved to Canton, Ohio, to pursue a better life for her and her children. She worked at and retired from the Hoover Plant She was a devoted member of Peoples Baptist Church for over 65 years. When she walked into a room, she shared the light of Christ through her smile. Throughout her life, she was always the one who looked for opportunities to brighten others' day through acts of service, phone calls, sending cards, and even visits. She was always someone you could count on. She was preceded in death by her parents, James & Rutha Ransom, Siblings; Mattie Ransom, Charles Ransom, Jimmy Ransom, James Ransom Jr., Walter Ransom Sr., Seaborn Ransom, Virginia Abrams, Carlton Ransom Sr., her husband, Marshall Griggs Jr., and great-grandson, Daniel Marcel Salisbury Louise's memories will be cherished by 1 Brother Marvin (Mamie) Ransom and 2 Sisters Shirley Ransom Barnes & Jeanette Ransom Johnson. Sister-in-laws Louise Ransom & Alberta Ransom. Her legacy will live on through her 5 generations. Son; Leon Griggs Daughter; Shirley Griggs, 3 Grandchildren; CW4 Christina Ross, Tyrone (Christina) Griggs, Theresa (Jack) Salisbury 6 Great Grandchildren; Robert Leon' Griggs, Amber Monique Salisbury, Robert Eugene (Meridian) Gipson, Ebony Shauntae Okosun, Angela Charlene Griggs, Joseph Michael (Malia) Salisbury 10 Great Great Grandchildren; Matthew Omari Zaire Salisbury, Nariah Oselenjishan Okosun, Robert Eugene Gipson Jr., Nadine Ofure Okosun, Sarai Annabella Noel Griggs, Loreli Monna Lee Salisbury, Nicholi Isaiah Griggs, Callista Martin-Blair, Malachi Taisean Chambers and Leon Jeramiah (Brooklyn) Chambers and 1 Great Great Great Grandchild: Koba Jourdan Chambers. She also leaves a host of relatives
