Louis T. DeJournett (Cool) passed away March 7, 2019 surrounded by his family. He was born December 24, 1946 in Bastrop, LA. to late Earl and Hazel DeJournett.The family relocated to Akron, Ohio in 1953 where Louis received his education attending Akron Public Schools. The family joined Wooster Avenue Temple COGIC where he was raised with strong Christian faith and values. Louis held two primary passions; his great zeal for life and the wholehearted love that he felt for his family. He was proceeded in death by his son Louis; daughter Irma; parents; brothers, Albert Jackson, Truman, and C Ray; sisters Helen Robinson, Alice Pitts, Freddie M. Butts and Linda DeJournett. He is survived by his children, Angela Jackson-Derosena, Terry Kelker-DeJournett; Step-Children: Erica Respress, Kelly Keller; sister Betty (Olin) Smith and brother Earl Jr (Odessa); Grandchildren, Jordan and Jamie Jackson-Derosena, Kevin Jr, Kevon and Kayla Antoine, New Arrival, King Louis Antoine; Step Grandchildren Dominique and Brittany Respress and Jasmine Douglas; Ex-wife, Delores Jackson; Dear Friend Janice (May) Kelker and a host of nieces, nephews cousins and friends. Homegoing service will be held Friday, 12:00 P.M. , March 15, 2019 at Rhoden Memorial Home, 1101 Palmetto Ave., Akron, OH 44306, where the family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until time of service.  Interment, Mt.
