Lorene W. Skipper, 82, passed away October 14, 2013 at Akron City Hospital.  She was a lifetime resident of this community.  She had been employed as an Intake worker at Jobs & Family Services.  She was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church and  Mary Chapter #47 OES. She is survived by daughters, Michalene Skipper of Seville, OH, Zenobia Skipper and Jamila (Duane) Mitchell; brother Burt Thornton, and sister Catherine Harris, all of Akron; 19 grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
