Loreen Michele Cleveland, 61, of Canton Ohio transitioned from this life on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, in Columbus Ohio after a long battle with Cancer.
Loreen Michele Cleveland was born in Canton, Ohio on March 8, 1962, and accepted Christ as her savior at Pentecostal Temple Church of God Christ in Canton, Ohio. She attended Plain Local Schools and graduated from Glen Oak High School.
She started her career early in life working as a Case Manager at Stark County Jobs and Family Services. After 33 years of faithful service, she retired to leave time for family, friends, and her favorite pastimes, visiting parks for nature walks and watching her favorite Nollywood movies. Often, she would find time to visit a casino to "shop!"
Ms. Cleveland is preceded in death by her parents, Pastor LC Cleveland and his wife of 70 years, Rosie Givhans Cleveland, one son, Leon Smith, and a sister Judy Cleveland. Loreen leaves to cherish her memories, one devoted son, Leone R. Smith, and Ashley Stevens-Smith both of Charlotte, North Carolina. Brothers, Charles E. Cleveland of Dayton, Ohio, and Clarence Cleveland of Canton, Ohio. Sisters, Lois A. Beach, Deborah L. Cleveland both of North Canton, Ohio, her twin sister, Debbie J. Cleveland of Canton, Ohio, Marsha D. Cleveland of Salem, Ohio, and Darice R (Arthur) Jackson of Columbus, Ohio. She also leaves to cherish her memories a bonus brother Jimmy Evans and a bonus sister Christine Williams, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
