Lilyan (Payne) Smith, was born at 850 Miami Street in Akron, Ohio on December 11, 1937 to the union of the Late Reuben Lee and Jennie (Weems) Payne. The oldest of two children. She went home to be with her Lord and Savior on February 22, 2017. Lilyan held many prestigious jobs including the Adult Parole Authority,  Malco, United Way, City of Akron and Providence Baptist Church for twenty seven  years. She was baptized at the age of thirteen by the late Rev. J.W. Wheeler at Providence Baptist Church thus beginning her service for the Lord. She was preceded in her home going by her parents, several aunts and uncles and her husband, Wilson Smith Sr. She leaves to rejoice in the memories of her life and home going her sister, Frances Hargrove, her children,  George Lee III, Anthony D. Johnson Sr., Genesa M. (Edwin) Morales, Martalyn G. (William) Billingsley, Wilson (Tracy) Smith Jr., Cameron G. Smith Sr. and Melanie F. Smith-Whittaker; special nieces, Pamela Hargrove and Christalyn (Skeeter) Drummond; special sister,  Christina Drummond; Godchildren, April Frierson, Angela Foster, and Darron Smith; special cousin, Lois Duckworth; twenty grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren and many other family members, friends and loved ones.
