LeVetta Burton was born in Forkland, Alabama on July 2, 1946 to Ben and Sadie Gilmore. She married her long time friend, Freddie Burton and from this union five precious children were born, Their family relocated to Canton, Ohio. She exchanged time for eternity on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at Mercy Medical Center. LeVetta accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of Deliverance Christian Church in Canton, Ohio. She was a dedicated worker for many years at Smith Nursing Home and McKinley Life Center where she retired. Levetta loved to shop and listen to southern music but her greatest joy came from spending time with her family. She loved her children and grandchildren with all her heart and would express her love for them every chance that she was able to. She was sweet, loving, nurturing and caring to everyone who had the pleasure of being in her presence. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Sadie Gilmore, grandsons; Desjorh and Keyshawn Burton, and niece Sadie Burton. She leaves behind to cherish her precious memory her children; Rebecca, Robert (Sandy Philmore), Doris Burton, Barbara (Walter) Jones, and Freddie (Keena Brown) Burton Jr. all of Canton, Ohio, grandchildren; Betty, Bryan, Jwuan, Antwan, Lorenzo, Freddie Jr., Jasmine, Lamar, Johnise, Xavier, Elijah, Sophia, Ashanti, Cedric, Harvey and Telia, sister, Diana Burton and brother, David Gilmore, nephews; Thomas and Gary Burton as well as special niece Sharae Burton, and a host of relatives and friends.
