Mrs. Lettie Bell Toney, 85, was born October 28, 1930 in Pleasant Hill,   Alabama to the late Eula Smith and John Brown. She went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center in Canton, Ohio. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and quilting and is a proud member of the body of Christ and was a faithful member at Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church. Wife of the late Walter Toney, she is also preceded in death by her siblings, Hester Brown (Aunt Het), Leroy Brown, Rosa Dent, Robert Brown, Willie Brown, Lloyd Brown, Marvin Brown, RC Brown, and Lillie Bell Brown; and great-granddaughter Eyllyza Nash (2015) who was 17 days old.

Lettie Bell is survived by one brother, Johnny C Brown of Cleveland, OH and one sister Bessie Mae Brown of Alabama. She is the proud mother of five son, Albert Cooper, Percy Cooper, Earl Cooper, Walter Toney, Willie Toney (Stacey) ; two daughters, Elizabeth "Liz" and  Julia Toney of Canton, Ohio;  grandchildren, Ceyontea Spicer, Sybil McCleod, Willie McCleod, China McCleod, Chad McCleod, Shaquanna Grimes and a host of 8 more grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
