Lesia Maria Johnson was born October 5, 1964, in Lorain Ohio to the late Sirnomia Pope and Alonzo Johnson. She was raised in Cleveland Ohio where her life began. Lesia attended Franklin D. Roosevelt and Glenville High School. she started working as a secretary for truck drivers. Lesia got married in 1992-1995 to William Kilgo. Lesia moved to Akron in 2005 where she started a new life and has been ever since. Lesia transition on March 1, 2024, at Summa Health.
Lesia is proceeded in death by her brother, Alfonso Faizon; sister, Sirnomia Pope Jr; and long-lost love, Charles Brown.
She leaves to cherish her memories aunt, Cassie Smith; brother, Casey Pope; sisters, Tina Traylor, Juanita Johnson, Diana Johnson and Judy Martin; brother, Bryant Johnson; best friend/ sister, Shonda Willis; Niece, daughter, Tash'Ann Johnson; great nephew, Johnathan Crosby; niece and great nephew, Jnay and Carson Willis; God son, Jawaun Coffey; nephew, Tony Newcomb; nieces, Tanisha Norris and Tattiana Johnson; step daughters, Kimyishia Pendleton and De'Angel Brown; favorite cousin, Joseph Johnson; her baby girl, Marshola Rembert; and a host of other relatives and friends. Lesia was very much loved and cared about she was the life of the party.
Lesia enjoyed playing bingo, music, singing, laughing, and she always thought she was Madea. But you couldn't tell her nothing when it came to her race, she'll tell you with the quickness She is a white girl trapped in a black girl's body. She always kept you laughing, and also kept you shaking your head. but she enjoyed life. Lesia believed in God also trust in God she grew up in church at first Zion missionary Baptist Church, then attended True holiness temple. Lesia will talk you under the table when it comes to her football. She was a Browns lover. We had our differences with that because I'm a Green Bay fan, but Lesia enjoyed her football. She enjoyed playing the Xbox playing Madden, Golf Lesia love watching movies and watching the young and restless and bold and beautiful. Lesia enjoyed reading,spending time with her family/Friends Oh and she love playing some dominos, spades, slots. Lesia enjoyed traveling going out of town getting on the 18 wheelers and just riding. Lesia enjoyed her coffee every morning she be up at 5 in the morning heading to her friend house to drink coffee and talk junk. Lesia is really going to be missed.
