Leroy Whitlow Jr, age 59 years and 1 day, passed away on December 11, 2021 at the Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital after complications from pneumonia.

Born in Canton, Ohio on December 10, 1962 (brother ~ Nathan Armstead was born on December 10, 1978) to Sandra Mosley Whitlow Armstead and the late Leroy Whitlow Sr.

Leroy was a graduate of McKinley Senior High School "Class of 81".  He was formerly employed by the Canton City Dog Pound.  Leroy was a former member of Deliverance Baptist Church and presently attending New Morning Star Full Gospel Ministries.  Leroy loved to laugh, talk jive (especially when playing cards with his Mom), and beat on the table like drums when the music would be playing.  He was also known to be a good cook and eater too.

In addition to his father, Leroy is preceded in death by his step father, Nathan Armstead Sr.; special friend, Cheryl Gantlin; grandparents, Grady and Lillie (Smith) Mosley, Lula Whitlow Boyd and James Wright Jr.; his aunts that he loved dearly, Mildred Walker, Marjorie Billings, and Loraine Williams.

Leroy leaves to cherish his loving and devoted mother, Sandra Armstead of Canton; brother, Nathan Armstead Jr. (Tania) of Canton; sons, Retired Sergeant First Class Vidal Whitlow Sr. of Plainsville, Illinois, Corwin Swint of Oregon; Attorney Siccorah Martin of Toledo, Ohio; (2) grandchildren, Vidal Whitlow Jr. and Jazmine Martin, he also survived by his great uncle and aunt, Robert L. Smith (Lillie) of Raleigh, North Carolina; great aunt, Iphangenia (Emmalee) Smith of Canton; special aunt and uncle, Una and Joe Smith.  He will be missed by all of his cousins: the Smith, Walker, Billings, Armstead, Harrington, Mosley, Whitlow, Dawkins, Randal, and Goodall families, especially his 1st cousin Allen Walker of West Palm Beach, Florida and his daily laughs with his 2nd cousin Dominique Dixon of Canton.
