LeRoy Holmes, Jr. went home to be with the Lord on August 29, 2024. He was born on November 11, 1955, in Chicago, IL. to LeRoy Holmes and Constance (Scott) Holmes.

He is preceded in death by his parents LeRoy and Constance Holmes, and half-brother David Holmes, his in-laws: Otis and Mary Frances Jewell, and his sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Jimmie Lee and Pam (Jewell) Cato.

He is survived by his wife Paula Jewell Holmes, his daughters: Britney and Whitney Holmes, his sister-in-law: Sharon (Jewell) Chambers (Robert Chambers-decreased), a host of relatives, host of friends too numerous to name, but who were always in his heart.

He was an Executive Recruiter and a Business Owner, and a Marketing Manager.

He played percussion with the Gospel Wonders, and the Praise Teams of Citizen's Church, Crosspointe Alliance Church and Akron Alliance Church. He was also active with the Akron Area Interfaith Council.
