Leroy Brooks, 70 went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday January 31, 2023. Leroy was born on January 31, 1953, in Akron, Ohio where he resided all his life. Leroy loved singing, sitting at the lake (fishing), riding in his car (sanging his heart out to his old school jams). Leroy is preceded in death by his wife Carol Brooks, parents, Jimmie Sr and Junior C., brothers, Booker T Dennis and Michael Brooks, niece, LaTisha Brooks and nephew Damon Brooks. Leroy leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter Sharnetta Spencer, sons, Bryan Spencer, Diont'e Williams Sr., Jason (Daysha) Downing of Virginia and Glenn Spencer of Cincinnati, Ohio, brothers, Carl and Johnnie Brooks both of Akron, Ohio and Jimmie Brooks of Thailand, sisters, Carolyn (Reggie) Brooks, Deidra Brooks and bonus sister Viola Vaughn all of Akron, Ohio. Uncles Edward Davis of Cleveland, Ohio and Jimmy Hicks of Akron, Ohio, special nieces Lajoy and Nicole Downing. Leroy leaves a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
