Leonte Maurice Hobdy, made his transition to be with the Lord at the age of 38 on Monday, July 18, 2016. He was a lifetime resident of Akron, Ohio. Leonte was a loving father. His three boys were his pride and joy. He was determined to leave them a legacy with his newly self founded business "bounding and swinging". His high spirit and loving personality attracted many. He will be truly missed. Leonte was preceded in death by his sister, Cynthia Marie Pope and his aunts, Diane and Ginger Short. He is survived by his parents mother, Cynthia Hobdy-Harmon; fathers, Lewis L. Short and Danny Pope; stepfather, Jimmy Harmon; children, Sir'Ronte and Sire Hobdy (mother Sheron Landis) and  Saveon McKinstry (mother Seleste McKinstry); siblings, Danshawn and Stephanie Pope, Kiesha, Brandon, Jordan, Alexis, Ileyonna and Gianni Short, Lewis and Janelle Harmon and Brandon (Pee-Wee) Hunt; special friends, Seata Dixson-Stephens and Becky Giles and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 12 p.m. at Rhoden Memorial Home 1101 Palmetto Ave. Akron, Ohio 44306. Family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until time of service.
