Lemmel Dotson was born August 8, 1939.  He was the 2nd oldest of 10  children born to  Tommy, Sr. & Lou Winnie Dotson in Panther Burn,  Mississippi.  Lemmel, moved to Canton in 1965 to make a better life for his family.  He then helped to move his sisters and brothers and their families to Canton. Lemmel retired from Canton Mallable Iron/ Canton  Castings where he worked for over 35 years. He accepted Christ at a very young age he was a life time member of the Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church.

Lemmel  loved to play his guitar, harmonica and sing.  He had a passion for working on cars, home improvements and was willing to teach anyone.  He looked forward to watching the Cavilers and the Browns.   He had a heart of gold and was loved by so many.  He was our hero. Lemmel is preceded in death by his father Tommy Sr. and mother Lou  Winnie, bother Albert Dotson and sister Essie B. King.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory his wife of 57 years Mary, his children Gregory Sr. (Troy) Dotson, Debra Dotson, Tommisene(Kevin)Stillwell,  grandchildren,  great-grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
