Leana Amos (Granny) 76, went home to be with our Heavenly Father on January 2, 2017. Ms. Amos was born on February 15, 1940 in Columbus, Mississippi and was an Akron resident most of her life. She was a retired cook for Steak N Eggs kitchen. She attended Akron Public Schools. Leana was an avid sports fan. She loved the Dallas Cowboys. Leana is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Sr. and Elizabeth Amos and her daughter, Jeanette Amos-Wiggins. Leana leaves to cherish her memory; daughters, Gladys Amos, Sylvia Turner and Victoria Williams; son, John (Deborah) Amos; sisters, Carrie Amos, Elizabeth Lake and Alice Amos; twelve grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren; Goddaughter, Pat Pride; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
