Lawrence N.
Payne
April 23, 1952 – September 23, 2022
Our beloved Lawrence N. Payne transitioned from this life to eternal glory on September 23, 2022. Lawrence was born on April 23, 1952, in Akron, Ohio, to Arlean Payne. He graduated from South High School, and retired as a machine operator from Warren Guillard Bricklayers, where he worked for over 30 years.
Lawrence married Toni Beckley on January 9, 1989, and they were married for 33 wonderful years. After both retired, they moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. Lawrence had an outgoing and engaging personality and could initiate a conversation and make friends with anyone. He loved his family beyond measure, adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, would defend and protect anyone in the family if necessary, and was always available to give them advice. Lawrence loved fishing, dancing, and music.
Lawrence was preceded in death by his grandmother Ora Payne, mother Arlean Payne, brother Kenneth Payne, uncles Ellis (George) Payne, Wendell (Wilkie) Payne, David Payne Sr., Robert Payne, and Lee Dove.
He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Toni Beckley-Payne; his children Brolin Payne, Monica Payne, Danielle (Khaek) Vaene, Aaron Morris, and Ceia Stewart; 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; special cousins David Payne Jr., and Thomas (Benji) Harris, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and a multitude of friends.
Lawrence was the family Patriarch, and his shoes cannot be filled. The wonderful memories and impact on our lives are everlasting and will never be forgotten. We thank God for allowing him to be a part of our lives, and may he know peace and rest with our Lord. MASK ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND ALL SERVICES
