With hearts full of love and cherished memories, we celebrate the life of Larry Williams, affectionately known as "Baby," the youngest of nine children born to Archie Williams Sr. and Shannon "Elgloria" Sivels on September 14, 1961.

Raised on the vibrant streets of Chicago, Larry brought joy and laughter wherever he went. A proud student of Schiller Elementary School, Cooley Upper Grade Center, and Robert A. Waller High School, he grew into a man known for his warm heart, gentle spirit, and unforgettable smile — always the first thing you'd see when he walked into a room.

Larry had the gift of joy. Whether through his playful jokes or quiet kindness, he had a way of making others feel seen and loved. He didn't need the spotlight to shine; he let his respect for others and his loyalty to family and friends speak for him. He stood up for what was right, and he did so with grace and quiet strength.

A man deeply rooted in love, Larry never left without telling his family how much they meant to him. From his beloved children and grandchildren to his siblings, nieces, and nephews, no one left his presence without a hug and a kiss on the cheek or forehead. His love was generous and constant, and his family was the center of his world.

Music was Larry's heartbeat. Whether singing, dancing, or simply grooving to a good tune, music brought him to life — even in his final season. No matter the circumstances, the lyrics never left him, and neither did the rhythm. With the help of his daughter Lashawrida, who would play his favorite songs, Larry's spirit would rise, dancing and singing as best as he could in the moment.

Throughout his life, Larry was a hardworking man who wore many hats — from security to construction, and as a handyman with the Salvation Army. He brought the same dedication and kindness to his work that he brought to every area of his life.

Larry is now reunited with those who went before him: his parents, Archie Williams Sr. and Shannon "Elgloria" Williams; his son, Larry L. Williams; his sisters, Janis Williams, Diane Williams, and Karen Williams; and his brothers, Graylin Williams and Randy Williams. We find comfort knowing they are together again.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter in the hearts of many — especially his daughter Lashawrida Fellows; grandchildren Marquis Witt, Amiya Fellows, and Devin Williams; his siblings Charlene Waddell, Archie (Barbara Jean) Williams Jr., and Kim (Douglas) Williams-Oaks; his beloved Aunt Shirley Sivels; his lifelong best friend Brenda Jackson; and a host of adoring nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.

Larry Williams will be remembered for his radiant smile, his generous heart, and the music he brought into our lives. Though he is no longer with us in body, his spirit lives on in every shared story, every laugh, and every song that stirs the soul.
