Larry Antione Jones Sr. entered his rest on Saturday, December 19, 2020. Larry was born on December 19, 1960 in Akron, Ohio to Jesse Jones Sr. and Missouri Jones. He graduated from North High School in 1979. After graduating, Larry earned a welding certificate and specialized in forging and maxi press machinery. Larry worked at Ken-Tool for over ten years up until retirement.
After retirement, Larry became a proud brother of the Improved Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks of the World (IBPOEW), where he earned Loyal Knight ranking. Larry was a loving and caring father. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, watching sports, dancing, fishing, and traveling and was known for his sense of style and swag. Larry was an exceptional father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.
His greatest love was his family, and he will truly be missed.
Larry was preceded in death by his loving parents, Jesse Jones Sr. and Missouri Jones, and his brother, Clifford Blackmon. Larry leaves to cherish his memories and carry on his legacy: sons, Larry Jones Jr. (Precyious) and Cortez Jones Sr. (Brittney); daughters, Jasmine Jones (Stanley) and Precious Reese; grandchildren, Natiana Jones, Diamond Jones, Jayveonte Guice, Dacole Jones, Harmony Jones, Layla Jones, DeVante "DJ" Fry Jr., Cortez Jones Jr., Jaelynn Mitchell, Jayla Mitchell, and Larryn Jones; siblings, Tyrone (Karen) Toles, Wanda Blackmon (Daryl), Veronica "Lynne" (Darryl) King, Inez "Debbie" Jones (Derick), Jesse (Keely) Jones Jr., Fabian (Michelle) Jones, and Gary Jones (Deneen); special nieces, Hope, Brandi, and Erin Lynn; special nephews, Fabian Jr. and Jesse III (JC); significant other, Asya Tipton; special friends, Victor McCall Sr. (55 years), Lenar "Lenny" Brown, Ann, Brother Rob, and Pops; and a host of loving family and friends.
