Larry "Spanky" Givens Larry Givens, 71 went home to be with his Lord and savior Jesus Christ on October 23, 2018. He was born December 12, 1946 in Bolivar Tennessee to Edna Givens and Hence Dickerson. The family relocated to Ohio in 1952 where Larry later graduated from Copley High School. Larry was employed for Monsanto Incorporated in Wadsworth and then later, for 2 years, as a long distance truck driver. The majority of his career was spent working as a Highway Maintenance Operator for the city of Akron. Larry worked for the city until the time of his illness. Larry was a member of Unity Holiness Ministry COGIC. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by wife, Paula Dejournett-Givens; sons, Larry Givens, Robert Williams, William Sanders, Levert Finney and Diere' DeJournett; daughters, Diedra Anderson, Yolanda Watson, Dawn Givens and Dazzelle Martin; sister, Precious Jenkins; 20 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and a host of loving family and friends.
