Larry D. Barney, age 73, a lifelong resident of Canton, Ohio, was called home to be with the Lord on November 1, 2021 after battling an extended illness.  He was born to the late Jake and Cornelia Barney on October 1, 1948.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his brothers, Willie and Henry Bryant as well as his sister Jackie Barney-Higgins.

Larry is survived by his daughters, Valerie Thomas and Yolanda (David) Wiggins all of Canton, Ohio; son, Larry (Takisha) Barney Jr. of Monroe, North Carolina; (10) grandchildren, Sherri, TaShawna, Corey Jr., Tiara, Jazmine, Larry III, Lliyah, Jayda, Marques, and Keon; (9) great-grandchildren; brother, Jimmy (Patricia) Barney of Mobile, Alabaman; sisters-in-law, Lenora Bryant of Columbus, Ohio and Lorena Sue Bryant of Canton, Ohio; special cousin, Idella Haywood of Newburn, Alabama as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
