Larnell Jones "Lonnie" was called home to be with the Lord after a short illness on March 22, 2013.  He was born in Akron Ohio, on May 17, 1956 to Curry and Shirley Jones. He accepted the Lord at an early age at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church.  He graduated from Shades Valley High School in Homewood Alabama in 1975.   He spent his adult life in the Akron and Canton areas.  Next to his family he loved his bass guitar more than he loved anything. He played in various bands beginning at a young age. Larnell met and married Bonnie Everly in 1980; out of this union five children were born.  He loved and cherished his family. He would spend hours on the phone catching up with everyone. He was a self-proclaimed grill master, never divulging the recipe to the secret sauce. He was huge fan of "Big Time" wrestling and he also enjoyed video games. Larnell is preceded in death by his father Curry Jones, mother, Shirley Franks, and his sister Belinda Ross (Roosevelt).  He leaves to cherish his memory, siblings, Terry Jones, Vanessa Karim (Wallace), Van Jones, Julie Mack (Edward), Juliet Shreve, and Tosha Strong. He also leaves his step-mother Pauline Jones, step- siblings, Tony Smith, Marvin Smith, and Willie Baxter.  He leaves to mourn his passing, six children, Michael (Cherita) Everly, Larnell (Tyra) Jones Jr., Kizzie Everly, Terry Jones, Nicholas Jones, and Shirley Jones. He leaves 14 grandchildren, Jaylen, Michael Jr., Brandon, Mikayla, Makiya, Malaya, Maliyah, Zenobia, Larnell III, A'mya, La'tira, Terrence, Joshua, Myron, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family would like to thank the staff of Mercy Medical Hospice Care, and a special acknowledgment to our brother Terry for his tireless devotion and care he gave to our brother.
