Lacreasha Yvonne Thomas, beloved wife, mother, sister, cousin, and friend passed away on October 2, 2024, after a valiant battle with breast cancer. She was a hard-working, devoted wife and mother, and a true friend. Through her beautiful smile and daily actions, she exhibited joie de vivre. She loved to gather with family and friends, where she always sought to bring joy. Born to Arthur and Sandra Hill on February 6, 1976, in Plainfield, New Jersey, she moved with her family to Canton, Ohio, at a young age. She graduated from Timken Senior High School. After graduation, Lacreasha started a career providing service in banking, and banking- related industries. She supported customers and coordinated bank equipment installation for companies such as Diebold (where she worked for over 15 years), Securitas Electronic Security, and Wittenbach Business Systems. She developed a reputation for having a strong work ethic and a professional, yet friendly demeanor. Lacreasha was introduced to the love of her life, Kevin Thomas, in 2001 in Canton, OH. He assisted taekwondo instruction at Canton Community Martial Arts, where her young son LJ, was taking classes. They quickly developed a close friendship and a love that culminated in a 21-year marriage and a blended family with four beautiful and talented children, Lance, Isaiah, Maya, and Kamryn. Of the roles she played in life, one she cherished most was Mom. Lacreasha was a dedicated, loving mother whose main concern was always the wellbeing of her children, and she made sure she tended to their physical, spiritual, and emotional needs. Possessing a fun-loving spirit, she always came up with activities for the family to do to make memories together. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Sandra Hill, sister Carmen Williams, and nephew Thevenin Terrell. Lacreasha leaves to cherish her memory: husband, Kevin; children Lance Hawkins II, Isaiah Ballard, Maya Thomas and Kamyrn Thomas; sisters Regina Peterson, Eric (Cheryl) Henry, Kevin Montgomery, Carla (Abou) Ba, and Donesha Hill; godmother Diedre (Michael) Miller; Father-in-law, Hays Thomas, Jr.; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
