Kenneth Bruce Reed was born September 9, 1953, to Jasper Reed and Maxine King in Akron, Ohio.

He was well known and loved throughout Akron for his beautiful smile (that the ladies loved) or the fact he was a well-known boxer.  Bruce will be truly missed and always loved.

Bruce is preceded in death by his father; Jasper Reed, mother; Maxine Reed-King, grandmother; Lessie King, brothers; Michael Reed, Ricky Reed and great-nephew; Deon Jackson.

He leaves to cherish his memories, brother; Terrance (Terry) Reed and sister; Karen Jackson-Harris (Michael), nieces; Alyssia (Lisa) Jackson and Karnette (Nikki) Johnson, nephews; Terrance (lil Terry) Reed Jr., Marcel, Richard Reed, Kenneth (Kenny) Reed, Marcus Reed and Edward (Eddie) Reed, great-nephews; DeWayne (Neco) Ware, Marcus Reed Jr., Devonte Reed, Ameir Reed, Deonte Reed, Ya'Sin Ingram, Jumire Bell and Darion Edward Johnson, great-nieces, Donita (Miss Lady) Jackson, Amarie Reed, Mariah Reed, Sheryline Martin Ingram and Kendall Nicole Jackson, great-great nieces; Alyssia (CeCe) Jackson,  Alexis (lil Lessie) and Gianna (ladybug) Ware, great-great nephews; Neco (PacMan) Ware and Deon (D.J.) Jackson, uncle; Reason King Jr.,(Mickey) and favorite cousin; Russell Dossie.
