Katherine Lucille Vann, a longtime resident of Rose Lane Nursing Home in Massillon, OH, left this life on Friday, May 24, 2013 on her way to her Eternal Home with the Lord, after a brief illness. Katherine was born on February 17, 1927 in Wooster, Ohio.  She was a very active member of First Baptist Church, Orville, OH as a choir secretary and choir member for many years.  She married Guy Vann in 1953 from which three children were born.  Guy passed away in 1995. She was also preceded in death by her mother, Mariah Tarpley; father, Jimmie Eugene Tarpley; four brothers, Arthur Lee, Eugene, William (Bill) and Donald Tarpley. She leaves to celebrate her life, three loving children; sons, Danny L. Vann of Massillon, OH and Kevin E. Vann of Hesperia, California; daughter, Tami L. Vann of Columbus, OH; granddaughters, Alyssa Vann and Tatyana Moore;grandson, Theo Moore; Seven other grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives.
