Katherine Francis Smith, known to all as "Judy", was born on December 23, 1941 in Decatur, Georgia to the late Peter James Smith and Ella Smith. Judy transitioned on January 9, 2021. A lifelong resident of Akron, OH, she was a lifelong member of Good Hope Baptist Church, and worked on the kitchen committee .  She was known for styling her blue jeans, tennis shoes and setting that outfit off with her sparkling jewelry.  Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Peter James Smith and Ella Smith; sister, Bernice Treadwell; and brother-in-law, Edward Treadwell and leaves to cherish her loving memory, brothers, Bobby (Agnes) Smith of Akron, OH; Willie (Cheri) Smith of Oakland, CA; Melvin (Robin) Smith of Rex, GA; and Tony (Terri) Smith of Akron, OH; sister, Eloise (Eddie) Fain of Texas; devoted niece, Tracy Smith; and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
