Karl A. Brewton was born September 13, 1960 in Brewton, Alabama to the union of Donald and Dorothy Brewton. He later graduated from J.F. Shield High School in Beatrice, Alabama in 1978 and soon after he attended UAH in Huntsville, Alabama.  In 1981 he joined the United States Air Force where he received an honorable discharge in 1982.

Preceded in death by his father, he leaves to mourn his passing, mother, Dorothy Brewton son, William Preyer, brother, Christopher (Gwen) Brewton as well as a host of other family members and friends.
