June Vivian (Torrence) Fontes, 79 of Canton, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on June 25, 2016. June was born to Reverend Price and Suzie Torrence in Canton, Ohio. June graduated from Canton McKinley Sr. High School. She was employed by Embros Manufacturing Company until she became ill. She was a long time member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church where she serves as a faithful choir member. June also has a love for sports; she was an avid Browns, Indians and Cavs fan. She was preceded in death by her parents; Price and Suzie Torrence; daughter,      Deborah Carter; brother, David Torrence; aunt, Mary Bell Helm; grandmother,      Elizabeth Mack and son-in-law, Devon Carter. She leaves to cherish her precious memory her granddaughter; Yolanda Torrence of Akron, Ohio; grandsons, Devon Carter and Kelly (Sheila) Williams of Canton, Ohio; sisters, Irma Jean Jackson of  Canton, Ohio and Delores Reese of Lynwood, California; sister-in-law, Nicola (David) Torrence as well as several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and great– great nieces and nephews.
