Juanita Vaughn, 86, went home peacefully to be with the Lord on Friday morning, December 3, 2021.
She was born in Cincinnati, OH on March 16, 1935 to the late James and Leila Mae (Spivey) Ferguson.
Juanita is a graduate of Barberton High School along with Michigan State University where she pursued her degree in social work as a well as obtaining leadership and training certificates from The University of Akron and Kent State University.
She began her career with Community Action Council Agency as a Social Service Worker, then advancing to the Barberton Board of Education as a Parent Involvement Coordinator and spending her summers as a seasonal Park Director for the Barberton Parks and Recreation. She became a Therapeutic Program Worker with State of Ohio at the Warrensville Developmental Center where she fulfilled her career.
Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, James and Lelia Mae Ferguson.; son, Larry Love; grandson, Demetrius T'Juan Butler; brother, James Claude Ferguson; sisters, Jeanine Mae Gregory and April Curry.
She leaves to cherish her memory, children Frank (Rita) Love, Jr., Eddie Joe Romeo Love, Judy Powers and Juanita Butler. Sister, Carrie Minor, and brothers March (Barbara Jean) Ferguson and Tommie Ferguson. She leaves seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, along with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
