Juanita Trammell, 85, a beautiful mother, a devoted sister and loving grandmother Juanita L. Trammell went home to be with her Heavenyl father on Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2015. nshe was born on Aug. 14, 1930, in Dayton, Ohio, to Adell and Lillie Bob Lawrence. She graduated from Dunbar High School in 1948; and retired from Wright Patterson Air Force Base in 1988. She worked for several years in Chicago, Ill. fo the Veterans Administration. Later moving to Dayton to work for Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Fairborn, Ohio. She had a long and prosperous career. Juanita answered the call of Christ by being baptized in Jesus' name and received the gift of the Holy Ghost at Bethesda Temple where she was a faithful and long time member. Juanita was dedicated and faithful to serving the Lord by working on Funeral Committee, church Aide, Sunday School Unitarian Class, and Aenon Committee. She enjoyed every bit of it. She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Adell Lawrence Jr. and Edward Seals' and two sisters, Alverna and Norma Lawrence. She leaves to cherish her memory , one devoted daughter, Twilla Byrd, where Juanita resided; four sons: Tony (Carolyn) Gist, Darryl Gist, Eric Gist, Gerald (Crystal) Gist; foster sons, Roland Parks, and Ronald Berry; foster daughter, Wanda Parks; spiritual daughter, Allita Britton; and hard working nephew Virgil Trammell; two sisters, Martha (Ralph) Byrd and Mary (Frank) Ross; two brothers, Jimmy (Eva) Lawrence and Milfred Moon; her grandchildren who she raised Myra Gist, Monique (Dwayne) Berry and Erin Gist; grandchildren who also served as Juanita's caregivers were Natasha Gist, LaRon Carr, Marquise Phinnessee, and Diamond Byrd; special great-grandchildren: Raphael, Destiny and Dwyane Berry Jr., Deshaun Harewood, Monet Gist, Kaylin Byrd and Jayvon Cundiff II; and a many other cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren. Personal assistants who cleaned and transported Juanita during her final days were were Etoy Brooks, Shanda Robinson, and Lisa Allen. Long time friend since first grade, Jean Wilkes and friend Leon Dillihunt, Special thanks to Altercare of Louisvile, Crossroads Hospice of Canton, Ohio, and Eld. Carlos Morris and members of Greater Bethel Apostolic Church. Services will be held Saturday, Aug. 22, 2015, at Bethesda Temple Apostolic Church, 3701 Salem Ave. Dayton, Ohio , (Suff. Bishop Craig High, Pastor) at 11am Family will be receiving friends and family at 10am until time of service.
