Joshmere Abdul-Barri Muhammad's Obituary

Joshmere Muhammad was born on May 18, 1994, in Akron, Ohio, to Towanda Dawson and Arthur Goodwin. From an early age, Josh exhibited a passion for sports, leadership, and community qualities that shaped his path throughout life. Josh graduated from East High School in Akron in 2012, where he proudly played as a defensive end on the football team. His dedication to the sport and his team was unmatched, earning him the respect of peers and coaches alike. His love for football led him to Youngstown State University, where he continued to pursue his athletic dreams while studying criminal justice. During his time a YSU, he not only earned bachelor's degree in science in criminal justice, but also met the love of his life, Marissa. Their bond grew stronger through shared dreams and values, culminating in a joyful marriage and the beginning of a beautiful family. Together, Josh and Marissa were blessed with three wonderful children: Ryme, Yade, and Sol. Josh was a devoted husband and father who cherished every moment with his family. Whether coaching from the sidelines, enjoying a quiet evening at home, or planning family adventures, his love for them was always evident. He was a protector, a provider, and a guiding light in their lives. In 2019, Josh combined his creativity and entrepreneurial

spirit to launch an urban clothing brand. His vision was to create fashion that reflected strength, culture, and community- much like the values he lived by. The brand quickly gained recognition for its authenticity and bold designs. Josh's legacy is one of love, hard work, resilience, and dedication to family and purpose. He touched many lives with his kindness, determination, and infectious spirit. He will be remembered not only for what he accomplished, but for who he was — a loving son, a loyal friend, a passionate athlete, a visionary entrepreneur, and above all, a remarkable husband and father leaves behind his beloved wife Marissa; children, Ryme, Yade, and Sol; his parents, Towanda Dawson and Demetrius Goodwin; Grandmothers, Mary Dawson and Debar Goodwin; siblings, Maeleshie Dawson JaQuan Dawson, Antonio Goodwin, Tierra Goodwin, Aria Goodwin, and a host of family members, friends, teammates, and supporters who will carry his memory forward with pride and love.

Joshmere, you will forever be missed, Forever!
