Woodson
August 24, 1948 – December 18, 2020
Joseph Alfonso Woodson (Joe), age 72, son of the late Joseph D. and Pearl L. (nee. Cook) Woodson, made his transition to be with the Lord on Friday, December 18th, 2020.
He was born in Canton, Ohio, August 24th, 1948. A graduate from McKinley Sr. High, he proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He retired in 2000 after working over 30 years from The Timken Company.
Joe was a member of People's Baptist Church in Canton. He was also a member of the Masons. He loved electronics and computer repair. Joe enjoyed flea markets, thrifting, CB Radio and attending ARRL Hamfests and computer shows. His family and friends will always remember him as an outgoing, fun-loving, storytelling, family jokester.
In addition to his parents, He is preceded in death by his son Anthony (Tony) Woodson; brother, Gregory Woodson; sister, Brenda Burns, and his beloved brother and best friend Keith E. Woodson.
He is survived by his wife of almost 47 years, Sofeia (Thompson); his daughter, Alfeia Bell (Woodson); his grandson Breyon D. Hadder; great-grandson, Augustine (Auggie) L. Kues-Hadder; (4) brothers, William (Lynn) Woodson, Byron Woodson (special friend Yvonne Galloway), Jeffrey (Denise) Woodson, and Mark Woodson; (2) sisters, Beverly (Clarence) Matthews and Edna (Garth) Mack.
