Joseph Holmes, Jr. "JoJo", age 74 of Canton, Ohio.  Departed this earthly life peacefully in his sleep on Monday, December 10, 2018.   He was born October 11, 1944 to the late Ethel (Timberlake) and    Joseph Holmes, Sr. In addition to his parents "Jo Jo" is preceded in death by his sisters Virginia Hall and Beatrice Montgomery; daughter, Delmira Freeman. "Jo Jo" served in the United States Air Force for four years. He worked as barber at Faulkner's Barber Shop and Brunner's Barber Shop for many years. He also worked in the school system and the community with  troubled students. He encouraged students to always aim high in life.  "Jo Jo" was always full of laughs and jokes with his  family and friends. Most of all he loved the Lord. "Jo Jo" is survived by his common law wife of 30 years, Teresa Spencer; daughter, Ethelda (Eric) Turner and Shekia Cundiff; sons, Darnell, Joseph III, Michael (Seneca) Holmes and Robert Gardner as well as a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
