Jonathan K. Moore, passed away unexpectedly on July 15 th 2022. Born October 6, 1957 in Massillon, Ohio, to the late Johnnie & Mary (Lancaster) Moore. He was a lifelong resident of Canton where he was an All-American tailback for Canton McKinley Bulldogs under Coach John Brideweser. He played in the Ohio HS All Star game and the Big 33 All Star game in Pennsylvania. Nothing could stop him on that field and he was inducted into the McKinley HS Football Hall of Fame in 2003. He also received the Marion Motley award in 1974. He then went on to receive a full scholarship to the University of Kentucky.
He spent most of his working years as a professional, over-the-road mover with United Van Lines in Wooster before transferring out to Las Vegas, where he spent years thereafter, until finally returning home to Canton.
He leaves to cherish his memory, daughter Christina (Timothy) Allen, sister Mary Jane (Fletcher) Pierce, brother, Timothy (Arlisha) Moore and 3 granddaughters. Special nephew Victor Mackey, and Matthew Moore. 3 nieces, Debra Mackey, Renee Salter and Elizabeth Moore as well as a host of relatives and many friends.
