On Saturday, March 24, 2018 Johnny Summerlin went home to be with the Lord at the age of 60. He was a resident of the Akron community. He was born on March 30, 1957 to his parents, Thomas and Mary M. Summerlin. John is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Mary M. Summerlin. John leaves to cherish his loving memory his son, Rico Summerlin of North Canton, Ohio; brothers, Roger D. Brembry of Seattle Washington and Larry Summerlin of Akron, Ohio; sisters, Elizabeth Ivery and Mildred Summerlin both of Akron, Ohio; special thanks to his caretaker, Dawn Perry; and a host of other loving relatives and friends. Home Going celebration will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Rhoden Memorial Home 1101 Palmetto Ave., Akron, Ohio 44306. Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of service.
