John Steven Lykes affectional known as AKA Johnny Boy and Uncle J.B. went home to be with the LORD on St. Patrick's Day March 15th 2024. Mr. Lykes was born on July 4th, 1933, in Akron Ohio to Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lee Lykes. John was the youngest of eight children. John graduated from Central Hower High School in Akron, Ohio. He entered the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He advanced in rank in the U.S. Air Force and severed as a Fire Fighter. Mr. Lykes worked at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company for 38 years where he retired. John was a man of Passion Passionate about the clothes he wore, the cars he drove, and the love and guidance he gave to family. John focused on having and being the best at all he put his hands too. He had a wonderful sense of humor that helped to make an indelible impression on everyone who crossed his path. The Family would like to unknowledge the staff at the Louis Stokes VA Medical Center and Care Towers for providing the best care possible to one of our counties greatest.
