John Lewis Wiggins Jr.  ("Pee Wee") 68, went to be with The Lord on February 28, 2021.

John was born on April 28, 1952 to John L. Wiggins Sr. and Mary Small in the city of Barberton, Ohio. John was the oldest of 4 children and a resident of Akron, Ohio most of his life. John understood that education was very important and was the first student accepted into The Upward Bound Program. John had attended Case Western Reserve High School and graduated from Barberton High School in 1971. After graduation John attended Ohio University. John earned a degree in AutoCAD technician and was an instructor at Portage Lakes Career Center for several years.

John held several highly prestigious positions during his work career, eventually retiring from Hendrickson Trailer Suspension as a Mechanical Designer/Assistance Project Coordinator on 1/31/2020 after 10 years of service.

John was well known, respected, and loved by many in the South Barberton community. He was soft spoken and had an infectious smile. John was an avid LeBron James and Cowboy fan. John love for sports included himself being a track star while in high school ending with him ultimately training to run in the Olympics. John was also a little league coach for West Akron Pee-Wee for several seasons. During this time John fulfilled one of his dreams by coaching his sons and grandsons, which he was very proud of and looked forward to doing. Family was everything to John and he found so much joy in the multiple roles he covered during his life as of son, brother, husband, father, uncle, cousin, grand, and great-grandfather. John's grandchildren affectionately called him "papa John" and "The Legend" and he lived up to these names. John would leave work early and sometimes traveled hours to support his grandchildren's dreams. John provided supplies, time, and most importantly his unconditional love to his family and was very involved in their lives. He showed up to and hosted many events to keep the family connected in love. John's love for track was shared with his daughters, son and granddaughters, where they broke records and ran several times in the Jr. Olympics. His son and grandsons were all successful basketball players as well. Be it sports, graduation, birthdays, or any other occasion. John was proud to show up for his family.
