John left his earthly journey Sunday morning at Aultman Hospital  after a brief illness.  He worked at Timken Steel Company and retired after 35 years of service. John loved being around his family and friend, hosting and entertaining, hanging in his garage talking mess while watching sports.

He was preceded in death by his mother Edna (Frazier) Sanders; father, Links (Dankie) Johnson; daughter, Traci L. Johnson; grandson, Jerrel J. Johnson; special cousin, Mitch Frazier, Sr..

He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter Constance Gilmer; step-daughter, Tara (Marcel) Thomas; sons, John (Jenary) Johnson, Jeffery (Connie) Johnson, and Dorie Irvin; sister, Annie Gates; brothers, James Johnson, Arthur (Linda) Johnson; ex-wife, Rosetta (Johnson) Davis; best friend, Tony Caddell; special cousin, Cynthia Frazier-Keller; granddaughter, Shayla Daniels; niece, Trina Frazier as well as a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
