John M. Campbell Sr., 75, passed away on February 3, 2017. He was born and raised in Akron, Ohio. He was a lifetime resident of the community. John retired as a lab tech from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company after 34 years of service. He had an Honorable discharge from the U.S. Air Force. John was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters and brother-in-law, Edward Irvine. He leaves to forever cherish his loving memory, wife, Marcella; sons, John Jr. (Pattie), and Troy (Jeanann); sisters, Sallie Starks of Virginia Beach, VA, Yvonne (Willie) Davis of Akron, OH, Agnes Cole of Shreveport, LA, and Mary Beltz of Akron, OH; special nephews, L. James Irvine, and Michael Pickett; special nieces, Cynthia Myers, Cassandra Pickett and Veronica Green; seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
