Mr. John Belser, Sr. was one of eight children born to the late  Henry and Mahalia Belser in Montgomery, Alabama. He moved to Ohio at an early age and work for the steel industry, where he retired from Republic Steel of Massillon. John departed this life Tuesday, July 12, 2016. Preceded in death by his wife Eula Belser; son, John Nathan Belser, Jr. , and longtime friend and companion Mary McPherson– Belser. John leaves to cherish his memory to his; daughters, Gail Wilson of Charlotte, North Carolina, Gloria (Alvin) Smith of Massillon, Ohio, Arlene (Travis) Moore of Mississippi, and Barbara Belser of Massillon, Ohio; sister Arnola Franklin of Montgomery, Alabama; (5) grandchildren, Monte Belser of Canton, Ohio, Jason (Kera) Wilson of Charlotte, North Carolina, Quiana Davis of Leesville, Louisiana, Jeremy (Sharon) Wilson of Charlotte, North Carolina and Monica Belser of Canton, Ohio as well as a host of great grandchildren and friends.
